  • Outdoor influence

Comments By Malt Creative on March 22, 2013

Decorating a home with themes inspired by the outdoor brings a sense of calm & creates a soothing atmosphere.

Botanical prints, wooden floorboards and plants both fake and real have always been a popular item to use when decorating the home and this Winter the trend is back again. This time specifically focusing on soft greens and browns, moody blues and tones of white.

You can bring the outdoor in by simply bringing more plantlife into the home or adding a few green soft furnishing items to the lounge room.

  • Get the look...Boho Artisan

Comments By Malt Creative on March 11, 2013

A look that's in trend both Summer & Winter, a perfect mixture of bright & cosy, is the artisan textile theme.

Get this versatile look using pops of bright tones mixed with neutral colours, ensuring you use some items with natural fibres to get the authentic look. Clashing prints & textures work well within this interior theme.

  • A touch of metallic

Comments By Malt Creative on January 20, 2013

A story in our Summer 2013 range, Coco, uses abstract motifs, geometric patterns and metallics to create the perfect look for an urban interior.

Within the range there are a number of metallic printed cushions. These are great to use as a statement item for the lounge or bedroom and go back best with darker shades such as black and grey.

Whether it's cushions, chairs, candles, a hint of metallic is not unusual in many contemporary styled homes and can add an edge to your interior.

  • Things we love this month...Pint sized accessories!

Comments By Malt Creative on January 18, 2013

    Hi everyone,

We are starting up a new section of the blog which we hope to do one friday of every month called things we love!

We will share unique or pretty things we have seen, or personally love in relation to the home, craft, design and general lifestyle topics.

This month I thought I would share with you some colourful decor inspiration as seen on casasugar.com. I am a fan of having small pops of colour in my home to match a neutral setting, and this article gives some fun ideas and inspiration on how you too can incorporate colour into your interior without going over the top...Using minimal, unique and edgy colourful accesories give this styling idea a boost!
